This twelve-week program is designed to address the current needs of executives and managers to improve the basic skills necessary to effectively lead and manage in today's organizations: writing, budgeting, internal marketing, working on teams, making technology productive, and managing projects.

Program Modules

Participant Profile

Executives and mid- to upper-level managers who will benefit from learning more about communications, technology applications, team management, project management, budgeting, and garnering internal support for projects.

Topics

  • Improving written communications.
  • Making technology productive.
  • Building budgets that work.
  • Understanding organizational finance and how it effects project budgets.
  • Gaining buy-in for projects and serving internal customers.
  • Managing teams made up of staff and subcontractors.
  • Becoming better project managers, overall.

Program Design

This twelve-week program is made up of six two-week modules, each of which surveys one specific core management competency. Participants interact in a text-based virtual classroom, deepening their understanding of content through discussion and practical application in the workplace. Each module requires an average of 10 hours a week of online participation and study time.

Delivery Options

Off-the-shelf or customized to meet your organization's needs. Usually delivered entirely online, via FutureU 's Internet-accessible electronic campus or on your own Intranet. Participants "attend class" from their own desktop or laptop computers, at home or at work, and at whatever time is most convenient to them. Such asynchronous online delivery is especially suited to geographically separated employee groups and those who find it a challenge to fit learning into an already full work schedule. Can also be adapted for on-site delivery.

Customization

Every organization faces a unique set of challenges and opportunities. The FutureU team can customize this program or any of our programs or modules to address participants' current concerns and integrate case study material based on their organization's experience.
