The FutureU team interviewed dozens of leaders in the Human Resources field to determine what these professionals believe HR managers need to know to move beyond simple administration of employee functions. This twelve-week focused-learning program addresses a precise set of practices that almost everyone thought were essential for successful human resource management.

Participant Profile

HR executives and other professionals in mid- to upper-management who want to learn how to include an existing HR department or build a new one that can act as a strategic partner in planning for and managing organizational culture and change.

Topics include
  • The HR implications of a global business strategy.
  • The new role for HR in executive leadership training.
  • How to create alignment within an organization to better respond to changes in technology and the social and economic environment.
  • How to diagnose organizational problems and measure effectiveness at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
  • How to build a case for and a commitment to creating a learning organization.
  • How to measure the impact of organizational culture change on morale, performance, and the bottom line.
Program Design

This twelve-week program is made up of six two-week modules, each of which surveys one specific topic in strategic human resource management practices. When delivered online, this module lasts two weeks when offered as part of FutureU 's focused-learning program in Leadership and Human Resources. It is also available as a stand-alone, four-week online course. In either case, it requires an average of 10 hours a week of online participation and study time. In the online version, participants interact in an online classroom, deepening their understanding of content through discussion and practical application in the workplace.

Delivery Options

Off-the-shelf or customized to meet your organization's needs. Usually delivered entirely online, via FutureU's Internet-accessible electronic campus or on your own corporate Intranet. Participants "attend class" from their own desktop or laptop computers, at home or at work, and at whatever time is most convenient to them. Such asynchronous online delivery is especially suited to geographically separated employee groups and those who find it a challenge to fit learning into an already full work schedule. Can also be adapted for on-site delivery.

Customization

Every organization faces a unique set of challenges and opportunities. The FutureU team can customize this program or any of our programs or modules to address participants' current concerns and integrate case study material based on your organization's experience.
